Guideline for NZ Businesses Operating under Alert Level 2
Now Zealand will move to Alert Level 2 at 11.59 pm on Wednesday, 13 May.
Businesses are required to self assess their ability to meet the rules and operate safely just as they normally would. The aim is to reduce the levels of people movement and interaction where possible.
Operating under Alert Level 2:
We all have come a long way putting a united front against COVID-19. it is best to keep in mind the basic rules for businesses now that we are starting our “new normal” lives.
COVID-19 is still out there. Play it safe.
Most businesses can operate if they can do so safely. Alternative ways of working are still encouraged where possible. eg. Businesses that don’t normally have customers on their premises could continue to have staff work from home.
Talk with your workers to identify risks and ways to manage them.
Ask everyone, workers, contractors and customers, with cold or flu-like symptoms to stay away from your premises.
Keep groups of customers 1 metre apart. Maintain physical distance
Keep contact-tracing records of anyone who will have close interaction (workers, contractors or customers).
Reduce the number of shared surfaces, and regularly disinfect them.
